How is a points-based grade calculated?
Total earned points are divided by total possible points and multiplied by 100. Earned points may exceed possible points for extra credit.
What if my entered weights total less than 100%?
The contribution shows how much the entered categories add to the whole course. The normalized grade shows performance across only those entered weights.
Will this always match my school’s grade?
Not necessarily. Dropped assignments, rounding, category rules, and other policies vary, so check your course rules when the result matters.
