How is WPM calculated?

WPM is correct characters divided by five, then divided by elapsed minutes. Five characters is the conventional standardized word length used for this calculation.

How is accuracy calculated?

Accuracy is the percentage of entered characters that match the passage at the same position. Backspacing removes that character from the current calculation.

Why can typing results vary?

Passage rhythm, punctuation, keyboard, posture, and familiarity all influence a run. This is a practice result, not a professional typing certification.
